If the human consumes a large quantity of the Kowhai seed, they would get poisoned and die.The kowhai trees are Bright yellow and the small leaves appear in spring.The Wood is hard and durable.The tui eats the nectar from the flowers.The tree grows up to 25 M.The kowhai tree symbolizes personal growth,sense of adventure and the ability to move.
